Job Summary:
Manage departments providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Lorian Home Systems, Inc. of Las Vegas (LORIAN) activities that will assist management, its shareholders, and other users in making educated economic decisions about LORIAN’S future.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance a plus and preferred.
- Must have hands-on accounting managerial experience.
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking working knowledge.
- Very computer friendly – spreadsheet proficient (hardware and software).
- SEC/Contractual negotiation a plus.
- Strong managerial abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Administrator to assist with and advise on financial direction of LORIAN.
- Oversees the activities of the LORIAN accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.
- Oversees the activities of LORIAN’S Billing Department for the complete integration of all LORIAN financial statements production, agency billing, account statement production, and LORIAN disclosure development.
- Oversees the activities of LORIAN’S Accounts Receivable Department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts applications, etc.; funding service management which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management.
- Oversees the activities of LORIAN’S Disbursement Department ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total LORIAN payroll tax compliance.
- Assures LORIAN income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all company income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
- Establishes and maintains systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, data, and enhances LORIAN’S value.
- Responds to the CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate the financial needs of LORIAN.
- Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of special reports.
- Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Conforms to all safety rules and uses safety equipment appropriately.
- Performs such other duties as assigned.
