Job Summary:

“Social Worker” means a person who has a Master of Social Work degree from a school of social work accredited or approved by the Council on Social Work Education and has one year of social work experience in a health care setting.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited or approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Certified/licensed and in good standing within state currently working in according to clinical type.
• One (1) year experience as a MSW.
• Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health. Presents a pre-employment physician’s health clearance, including negative TB skin tests and/or CXR and other tests as required by specific state statute.
• Has the ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
• Is self-directing and has the ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling the role obligations.
• Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
• Is a licensed driver and has an automobile that is insured in accordance with Lorian Home Systems, Inc. of Las Vegas (LORIAN) requirements.
• Must be able to verbally communicate in the language of the client and document all client related activity practices.

Responsibilities :

• Assisting the physician and other team members in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to the patient health problems.
• Participating in the development of the plan of treatment.
• Observing, recording, and reporting information on the patient’s condition to the attending physician and in the patient’s health record.
• Advising, counseling, and when appropriate, instructing family in patient’s social needs.
• Utilizing appropriate community resources.
• Participating in discharge planning.
• Participating in in-service education programs. Participation will be carried out by the MSW.
