DIRECTOR OF MARKETING/INTAKE

Job Summary:

The Director of Marketing/Intake manages and oversees all department functions in Marketing and intake/staffing.

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in health care/homecare, preferred.
  • Two years in a supervisory position, preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply community health principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Lorian Home Systems, Inc. of Las Vegas (LORIAN) policies and procedures.
  • Ability to supervise, guide, and develop skills and performance of Intake/Marketing personnel.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to assist in evaluating personnel a minimum of one time per year.
  • Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees patient referrals.
  • Coordinates and oversees department functions, duties, and activities for Marketing and Intake/Staffing.
  • Ensures that when patients are referred to LORIAN by any and all referral sources, that the relevant patient information is obtained in an accurate and timely manner and that all relevant patient information is entered into LORIAN’S patient tracking system (VisiTrack).
  • Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.
  • Accepts responsibility for regular attendance, punctuality, and fulfills job requirements without regard to time involved.
  • Serves as a resources person to employees.
  • Attends pertinent continuing education programs other than routine in-services and shares information with staff.
  • Identify and assign the required clinical staff to each patient admitted by LORIAN.
  • Manages verification and pre-certification of insurance benefits & coverage.
  • Determines eligibility and coverage of Medicare patients.
  • Manages the procurement of insurance coverage and billing information, as well as treatment pre-authorization orders when required, for all private insurance patients admitted to LORIAN.
  • Coordinates and communicates changes to the patient’s Plan of Care among all pertinent clinicians and the patient’s physician, making sure that whenever changes occur in VisiTrack, that these changes are communicated to all pertinent personnel.
  • Maintain weekly visit schedule report and board for all disciplines and counter check with schedule on VisiTrack.
  • Participates in the planning of goals for growth of LORIAN.
  • Oversees and conducts workshops and luncheons necessary to educate potential referral sources about LORIAN’S programs.
  • Oversees and provides in-services to different referral sources in the community for the type of services LORIAN provides – skilled nursing, rehab care, and community resources.
  • Represents LORIAN in a professional manner.
  • Oversees and assists discharge planners and social worker with referrals by retrieving info from different facilities as well as assisting with other home health needs such as DME, wound supplies, and medication through pharmacist.
  • Acts as a liaison between LORIAN and referral sources, including assisting as needed in the smooth processing of referrals.
  • Oversees and organizes promotional gift giving to referral sources.
  • Assists in patient concerns and immediate needs of the patient and delegates to clinical staff as necessary.
  • Interviews and staffs potential applicants for the Reception, Marketing, and Intake/Staffing Departments.
  • Manages and facilitates employee evaluations and disciplinary action for the Reception, Marketing, and Intake/Staffing Department.
  • Performs such other duties as assigned.
