Job Summary:
The HHA is a paraprofessional member of the care team who works under the supervision of a RN/therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patients/ clients needs. The HHA is responsible for observing patients/clients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. The HHA will be assigned in a manner which promotes quality, continuity, and safety of patient/client care.
Qualifications :
- Must meet educational/experience requirements outlined in the laws of licensure states.
- Certified/licensed and in good standing within state currently working in according to clinical type.
- Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health. Presents a pre-employment physician’s health clearance, including negative TB skin tests and/or CXR and other tests as required by specific state statute.
- Has the ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
- Is self-directing and has the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling the role obligations.
- Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
- Is a licensed driver and has an automobile that is insured in accordance with Lorian Home Systems, Inc. of Las Vegas (LORIAN) requirements.

Job Limitations:
The HHA will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the State’s Nursing Practice Act. Specifically, the HHA will not administer medications, take physician’s orders or perform procedures requiring the training, knowledge and skill of a nurse, specifically sterile techniques.
